Machine
The Assembly & Inspection machine was completed in May of 2006. The
purpose of the machine is to add all of the needed gaskets, lights,
and light covers to a rear license plate light, and take a visual
inspection via programmed cameras. The end product is then used on a
popular Automotive SUV. The set-up is a progressive 4 stage cycle
using manual labor and automated pneumatic latches. The first 3
stations are used to install the components, punch out holes, and
install the light fixture; while the final station inspects each part
from all angles using programmed cameras’.
