Job #: 2923, Spider Welder
The Spider Welder is a machine that was completed in November of 2006.
The purpose of the machine is to spot weld thin metal spider to a
small cap. The Spider Welder is a fully automated system, which
utilizes spot welders, pneumatic cylinders, a rotary table, and a
vibrating sorter. All the operator is required to do is to empty a bag
of caps into the vibrating sorter and set a stack of spiders in the
extraction cylinder and press go. The machine also features a vision
system to insure the assembly is loaded correctly before it is welded
together.
